Welcome to our website.

We are Bellyslap, a community drum-ensemble, specialising in Egyptian and Middle-Eastern (ME) rhythms. We are based in Melbourne, Australia.

We lurve to provide bellydancers with the opportunity to dance to live drumming, and for the audience to "visualise the rhythms" they are listening to. CD tracks are so passe!

We play a variety of ME and world percussion instruments, including the darabuka (Egyptian tabla), req, persian daf, tar, zils, jembe, dun-duns, davul and tasha drum.

Our favourite gigs are at bellydance school concerts, community festivals and charity events. We'd also like to drum for your special occasion, birthday party, wedding, end of year celebration, NYE, etc.

And, we love to teach others to play the drums we play.
